Nearly a month has passed since our February 15th Euchre Tournament at Zal Gaz Grotto, and we’re still smiling. For many, that afternoon was a first introduction to Washtenaw ACA — and what a way to meet us. As a nonprofit dedicated to empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate fully in community life, and events like that one are a big part of how we build the community that enables our mission.
For the day: A special congratulations to Chuck Birchmeier, who swept all five rounds to take the top prize — and then turned right around and donated his $100 Busch’s Gift Card back to Washtenaw ACA. That kind of generosity means the world to us and the people we serve. Thank you to Chuck and to all who attended!
